This is an attractive antique pair of 19th-century Staffordshire figurines, which it dates to around the 1880s.
The subject of harvesting and fruit picking was a very popular one with the Victorians. Here, we have on offer a sweet pair of figurines - which would have set of each end of a fireplace in a Victorian interior.
They are a matching pair - the colour is very understated with the main figures being white - with little details of their costume picked out with painted lines. The baskets are yellow and contain orange fruits. Their hats are a matching buttercup yellow colour (it looks greener in my images, but it is pale yellow)
They are in good antique condition with no damage to either figure and they look very cute on display. There is a little graze on the tip of the lady's nose, as photographed.
Dimensions: the gentleman is 8 inches and the lady is the same. They will cost £5.50 in the UK with Royal Mail Recorded Delivery and will be applied at check out.
