On offer here is this single miniature treacle glaze "Staffordshire" dog. It is one of the smallest ones available in my store.
This is a sweet little miniature treacle glaze, King Charles Spaniel. The model dates to the end of the 19th century (1870s or 80s) - and would have originally been one of a pair which you would have sat on your mantlepiece in the Victorian cottage on either side of a clock. Sadly, I only have the dog which would have sat on the left-hand side - he has been separated from his partner. He has a rich treacleware or Rockingham glaze - he is probably Scottish in origin.
I also have another slightly larger miniature one - and a matched pair available in my shop.
This one is in good antique conditio n with no chips or cracks..
Dimensions: Height 5 ½ inches. The width is approx 3 ½ inches and the depth is under 2 inches.
Have taken lots of photographs for your inspection.
All my treacle glaze dogs are genuine antique dogs - and NOT modern reproductions. Fairly priced for these harder-to-find miniature models - it is probably an item for the more specialist collector.
UK Postage - my single dog will cost £4.95 to send to you using Royal Mail Recorded Delivery. This will be applied to your order at the checkout stage.
