On offer here is a PAIR of vintage advertising sweetie tins.
The price here is for the two of them.
I have a little 1950s Edward Sharp & Sons (Maidstone Kent) sweets tin. On the lid it features a photographic image of a young girl in a gingham dress. She is paddling in the sea on a warm summer day. It is in good vintage condition - with no scratches to the lid and no dents. It must date to the mid-1950s - as there is a Royal Crest on the side - which states that the sweets were made by appointment to the late King George VI.
This wee tin measures: 5 1/2 x 4 x 1 3/4 inches.
The other delightful 1950s tin would be great to store loose tins etc in your kitchen - a handy little storage box. It is a total delight and features cute illustrations of little children making tea in their kitchen. They are shown on the lid sitting on the floor and drinking from two blue-coloured teacups. Again, nice and clean tin. It has a hinged lid.
This one measures 4 1/2 x 2 3/ inches. It has a height of 3 3/4 inches.
It does not have a maker's name on it - but it states that it was made in Britain.
They are priced as follows: The Sharps one is £15 and the little one with the two girls and the black cat making tea is £20. This takes into consideration that these are now about 70 years old and in such lovely condition.
Taken a lot of photographs of both of these for your inspection - they will cost £4.95 to post to you with UK Royal Mal Recorded. This will be applied to your order at the checkout stage.
