On offer is this attractive vintage 1970s Delphis Poole Dish.
This is a larger-sized pin dish. It has a scarlet red background and this is decorated with a large abstract flowerhead - with bright blue and peppermint details. This is a more unusual and painterly dish - and this is reflected in my asking price.
The Delphis range was heavily influenced by modern design and was introduced by the manager of Poole's 'making department' potter Guy Sydenham in conjunction with company designer, Robert Jefferson.
Delphis wares are often bright and jazzy in colour and design.
Each design is made by using a black wax resist with freely drawn lines - and then filled with vibrantly coloured glazes.
My dish measures just over 6 1/4 inches at the base and is 5 3/4 inches in height.
Fully marked to the back, as photographed.
In good condition with no chips or cracks - any bright white marks in my photographs are not on the plates, these are just reflections caused by the very glossy glaze on each plate.
UK Postage will be with Royal Mail Recorded Post. This will cost £4.95 and applied to your order at the checkout.
