This is a very collectable set of Scottish space-age glassware.
They are funky wine glasses from the Canisbay series and were designed by Colin Terris for Caithness Glass.
These glasses are a light smoky grey colour with a heavy clear glass foot.
I think that the colour of these is called Soot. It is a very subtle shade.
They are very futuristic in feel - and sit just right nice in the hand.
There is a nice set of four on offer here - and each of these measures 5 1/4 inches in height. The diameter at the widest point is 3 inches.
Each glass is 370 grams in weight.
There are slight differences to all the glasses - as they are all hand-blown and slight differences are to be expected.
All in good condition with no damages.
These come with a decanter - to serve your wine from if you are being more formal or posh! This shape was also designed by Colin Terris - who often looked to Scandinavian design for inspiration. Obviously, this will look fabulous on display on a mid-century bureau or sideboard.
The decanter is from the Lybster range which was named after a fishing village in the North of Scotland.
It is also in excellent condition - and measures 9 3/4 inches in height (including stopper) with a diameter of 5 3/4 inches at the widest part.
Each glass is priced at £15. The Lybster decanter has a little light mottling / bloom to the interior of the glass which you can see when you hold the decanter up to bright sunlight - but looks perfect and is clean with liquid inside - this I have priced at a bargain is £10. The grand total is £70. Bargain!
Due to the weight - they will have to be posted Parcelforce48. This will cost about £10 - but will allow these to be packed up carefully in a larger and more sturdy box to post to you.
POSTAGE WILL BE TO UK ADDRESSES ONLY.
