This is a footed glass sundae or small fruit bowl - which fits in thematically with a selection of International Souvenir tumblers that are on my online store.
This one is a very rare item - and I haven't seen another quite like it, It dates to 1901 - so is now over 120 years old, and looks as good as the day that it was made.
The bowl would have been purchased by a visitor to the site. This would have been a more expensive souvenir than the little tumblers. The bowl is drum-shaped and sits on a little foot, as photographed. The bowl has an engraved view of the site - I think the Kelvingrove Art Gallery building. The image is contained in a cartouche with a decorative border. The same image appears front and back. To one side the bowl has been engraved with the name of the buyer: Mrs Paterson 1901.
Dimensions: the height is 4 3/4 inches - the diameter at the top is 5 inches. The depth of the bowl section is just over 2 inches. The diameter of the foot is 3 inches.
Condition: a lovely bowl and in perfect condition with no damages. I have taken lots of images for your inspection.
I am pricing this rare wee glass at £55. This is a very fair price - and your postage will be capped at £4.95 with Royal Mail Recorded Delivery.
