These old ceramic Chemist jars are highly collectable - especially these larger ones and in such fine condition.
I have three of these for sale in my online shop. Postal discounts would apply for more than one purchase.
This is a lovely example - which has its original foil label - it is glass-covered.
The label reads: UNC: IODIDEN
As you can see from my photographs - it is in just lovely condition and looks fantastic on display. It would have been used to store potions and medicines in an old chemist shop and given its use - I am amazed that it has survived looking so pristine.
It is a nice larger size for display - measuring from base to top of knop on the lid is 8 inches. The main body of the is 6 inches with a diameter at the widest part of 5 inches.
Condition: the ceramic body is lovely and clean. No nasty staining from old contents.
There is no crazing to the glaze or discolouration to the white exterior top and bottom. The foil label is original to the pot - and glass-covered. It has a tiny hairline to the glass - but nothing to worry about - any other strange marks in my photos are simply reflections. The lid displays well - but sadly has a little chip under the knop (as photographed) you cannot see this unless the lid is turned upside down and you actively look until the knop. This is taken into consideration with the reduced price on this one.
Not that often that you see these pots in such amazing condition - you won't be disappointed with adding this to your collection.
A lovely pot and these do not come up for sale that often.
