This is a very unusual shape in this range. It is a deep square-shaped serving dish with a short handle and a lid. It has two pouring lips to each side.
I have two of these in my store - they differ only slightly in that one has a printed decoration in the interior (this one) - and the other has been left blank. THE PRICE HERE IS FOR ONE DISH ONLY.
It dates to the late 1950s or early 1960s and was made in Norway.
It is from the Stavangerflint Flamingo range - as annotated on the base.
The pattern was designed by Inger Waage and it is called Bamboo.
The dish is decorated with a "mock" bamboo border and with a fabulous abstract pattern on the lid - this consists of a mid-century design of stylized blue fishes and slices of lemon.
Great for a Scandi-modern interior and serving up little tasty nibbles or titbits at a dinner party.
The dish measures about 3 3/4 inches in height - and about 6 inches from spout to spout. The dish with the handle is overall 7 1/2 inches in length. Unpacked it is 500 grams in weight.
In excellent damage-free condition.
