This glass bowl is probably for the more specialist collector of mid-century Italian glass.
It is a 1950s freeform glass bowl - made in Venice at Murano.
I also have two smaller circular Cordonato D'Oro (Golden Rope) dishes on offer in my shop.
It was made by Barovier & Toso and designed by the renowned Italian designer Ercole Barovier, as part of his Cordonato d'Oro range.
The bowl is made of heavy, chunky clear cased glass with loads of gold leaf inclusions encased within. I love all the fingers or undulating ridges of glass on the base. It is a large size in this range.
It has a good bit of weight to it - being 1.1 kg unpacked. It measures 5 3/4 inches square and 2 3/4 inches in height.
It is in perfect condition - and looks lovely on display against a darker background. I have taken lots of images for your inspection. It will be posted to you with Royal Mail Recorded Parcel (Medium Size). This will be applied to your order at the checkout
