This is a very attractive paperweight by Scottish glass maestro, Paul Ysart.
It was made when he was working for Harland Glass Studios, and as such is signed in the weight with an H cane.
A special Scottish paperweight and of course in excellent condition with no damages.
The weight has an attractive base ground of a scrummy mottle sugar pink colour.
The base has a scattering on fine white rippled latticino ribbon canes. The main decoration consists of a selection of randomly placed millefiori canes. There is also a tiny H Cane in the design.
This one comes with its rare original presentation box - with the PY monogram in gilt lettering on the lid - and there is the original PY paper label on the base, as photographed. It comes with the little original Paul Ysart label certification that this is a Ysart weight - made when he was at Wick.
I hope that my photographs do this lovely paperweight justice.
It is in lovely condition with no chips or damage. Any white lights on my photographs are reflections from the glass and not on the weight.
Ysart paperweights are very sought after, so my asking price for this one is a very fair one.
Dimensions: diameter is just under 2 3.4 inches and the height is about 1 3/4 inches.
