This is a rare and hard-to-find little 1930s figurine of one of the Seven Dwarfs from the Disney film, Snow White.
I have been lucky to source this one - it is the second one that I have owned. This first one was sold a wee while ago from my website.
This little novelty figure is a ceramic / porcelain toothbrush holder - there are others in the series - all of a similar design and featuring all the dwarfs individually.
The film was launched in 1937 - so these would have been made after this date - and they seem to have been issued and distributed by Maw & Sons in the UK in 1938. They have the Disney Copyright Mark - printed on the base.
My little model shows a bewildered-looking Doc - there is a little ceramic pocket aperture behind him for keeping a little child's toothbrush in.
The holder is about 4 inches in height.
It is in excellent vintage condition with no damages.
