This is a pretty antique 1920s Scottish Monart Glass Bowl.
This one is one of my slightly larger Monart bowls.
It is without a doubt a very good starter piece for your collection of Monart glass.
The body colour is a mottled darker aqua-green glass. Around the rim, the glass used is more of a darker green (almost emerald) shade. It has lots of large flakes of silver aventurine in the rim area. The more unusual about this dish is the addition of a shaped foot, as photographed.
The base is polished and there is a raised pontil mark which retains the original Monart label. The rim on this bowl has been strengthened by the addition of the thicker glass band under the rim - a sign of a good quality bowl.
The size, quality, and more unusual foot detail is reflected in my asking price for this dish.
As you can see from my photographs - it is an interesting piece and looks great on display. It is in perfect condition with no damage of any kind.
I have taken lots of images were taken for your inspection.
