This is a lovely large lidded pot made by Buchan Pottery, based at Portobello, near Edinburgh (now closed).
It is certainly a most substantial piece of vintage Scottish Pottery.
It measures: 8 inches in height - and from handle to spout it is 7 inches. The diameter of the pot section at its widest is about 7 inches.
This lovely pattern is called Brittany - it features a stylized design with glowing apples on one side and sliced onions on the other side. These are all hand-painted. There are decorative abstract patterns also featured on the pot - mainly linear designs painted using a fine blue line.
These large squat-lidded pots in this very pretty pattern and a most sought-after one are now very collectable. This one is in good vintage condition with no damage.
Probably just for posting in the UK only (could be delivered free or picked up in Edinburgh). Postage will be with Parcelforce48 and cost about £10. This will be applied to your order at the check out stage.
