This is a lovely large stoneware coffee pot (or lidded hot water jug), made by Buchan Pottery, based at Portobello, near Edinburgh (now closed).
It is certainly a most substantial piece of Scottish Pottery - standing at 10 inches in height. From handle to spout it is 8 inches. The diameter of the main body section at the widest point is about 5 inches.
This lovely pattern features a stylised abstract thistle on one side - and on the other side is a wee group of Scottish bluebells. These are all hand-painted
A traditionally popular pattern in the Buchan Stoneware range. A most lovely coffee pot in good vintage condition.
Probably just for posting in the UK only. It would be about £10 to post to you due to the size and weight in the UK with Parcelforce48. Free Edinburgh delivery / pick up could be available - please enquire.
