This is a fine piece of Scottish agate jewellery which I have in my Iconic Edinburgh store
It is one of my older pieces - dating back to Victorian times.
Although it is silver - it is not hallmarked as such - and this is not uncommon in antique silver pieces of Scottish agate jewellery.
This is a lovely brooch - and the colours of all the polished agates are nice and vibrant. There are six shaped stones - two dark mustard one, two dark green, and two ox-blood agate ones. They form almost of flower petals effect around the central citrine.
There is a pale yellow citrine in the centre - held in place by four wee claws.
A nice thick silver backing on the stones - as you often find on older Victorian examples.
A nice sturdy pin with a simple c-ring clasp- all in good condition. Please note that this brooch is designed to be worn on a sweater, lapel or cap. The antique catch was not designed for it to be worn as a plaid or cloak clasp - for that you have to look at penannular brooches.
This brooch will be sent in a gift box - and posted in the UK with Royal Mail Recorded post. This will cost £.4.95 and applied to your order at checkout.
