This is a very stylish Scottish silver pendant made in the mid-1980s,
It has an Edinburgh hallmark for the year 1989 (the letter P).
It has a maker's initials stamped next to the hallmark - this is SJW for the Scottish silversmith Stewart John Wilson. He was a jeweller who worked out of West Calder in West Lothian, He registered his first mark at Edinburgh Assay Office on the 3rd of April 1973.
The beautiful pendant is a simple but stylish Scottish design - which harks back to earlier designs by Robert Allison or John Hart.
t has a central blue glitter polished stone - which looks a little like an opal- but not sure if it is one, but it is a very attractive inclusion. The surrounding silver setting consists of an intricate pierced scrollwork design.
I have photographed both sides for your inspection.
The diameter of the pendant is 2.8 cm. The chain is 17 1/2 inches in length.
It is nice and clean, polished and ready to wear. It is pre-loved but looks just like new.
Very fair price for this lovely large vintage Scottish silver designer pendant, Quite a unique piece.
It will be sent in the UK with Royal Mail Recorded post to you - this will cost £2.95 and applied at the checkout.
