This is a vintage powder compact for wee drops of loose face powders.
As you can see from my photographs - it is nice and clean and never used.
There is a mirror in the lid which is generally clean with no disfiguring marks to the glass. It still has its original instructions guidance label on the mirror.
There is a little resevoir for the powder which the original fabric powder shifter and a little fabric puff with Stratton printed in gold on the top. There is a metal cover which closed with a wee clasp. The top of this has gold-tone stripes with the Stratton motif in the middle - all as photographed.
The exterior lid is a stylish dark Royal Blue enamel - which is decorated in an intricate pattern of little controlled dots and fleur de lis.
The enamel has a nice shine & sheen to it with no scratches. Again, all nice and clean and with no damage. The base of the compact is also lovely. It is gold-tone with a geometric pattern of stars.
It dates to the late 1950s or early 1960s.
It is a slightly smaller size than you normally find. The diameter is 7 cm (2 3/4 inches). It is also a slimmer compact which would be good to slip into a small purse or bag.
My asking price reflects its age and its exceptional condition.
UK postage will be £4.95 and applied at check-out. I have a number of vintage powder compacts in my online shop. Multiple purchases will be capped at £4.95 in postage to you.
