This is a sweet little vintage 1970s silver hallmarked ring. It was made for Caithness Glass - and has a silver millefiori glass gem as an embellishment.
The ring comes with its original little vintage Caithness Glass presentation box (rare to find boxed) - as photographed.
It is designed for a more slender finger - and it is measured at a UK ring size N, as photographed.
The hoop of the ring is a simple slim one - but the shoulders and setting for the paperweight are a little more complex.
As you can see from my images - it is nice and clean. It is listed at a fair price given it comes with its RARE original box. It would look nice with my Caithness Glass pendant also listed in my shop. Postage would be capped for multiple buys at £4.95.
Have taken lots of images for your inspection which should give you a good idea of how these look.
HISTORY:
These pieces of silver jewellery were initially Paul Ysart’s idea. He had been making small ‘stones’ and setting them into cheap jewel fittings as presents for friends and family.
Caithness Glass saw the commercial potential in them and put Colin Terris in charge of further development. The range was officially launched in December 1970. Colin Terris designed a range of brooches and pendants inspired by traditional Scottish designs and hired Lucia Polanski as jewellery designer; she produced the rings, earrings, and cufflinks designs.
UK Postage will be with Royal Mail Recorded at will cost £4.95. This will be applied at checkout
