This is a rare little coffee pot designed by the Danish artist, Bjorn Wiinbald for Rosenthal Studio Line.
It features one of Wiinblad's typical Oriental designs - depicting two figures from the 1001 Nights Tales. The main body of the pot is decorated in a rich Royal Blue glossy glaze and the decoration has been applied on top. I love all the bright colours Wiinblad has used in his design.
It is signed in gold below the frontal illustration - and dated 1995.
This is a very rare item - and not many of these little pots survive - complete sets often sell for sums over £500.
There is a lot of gold gilt on the decoration. This little pot would really be more of a decorative item - to keep it in tip-top condition. You could use it for serving coffee or tea - but probably only on special occasions.
It is in good vintage condition with no chips or cracks, etc. The coffee pots are much harder to find - and this is reflected in my asking price.
Dimensions: The height to the top of the knop on the lid is 7 inches. The spout to handle is 5 3/4 inches. The diameter of the pot is roughly 3 1/4 inches.
This little coffee pot will be sent to you with Royal Mail Recorded - this will cost £4.95 and applied to your order that the checkout.
