This is a wee job lot of lovely vintage early 1960s powder compacts. They are all of a more minimalistic design, as photographed. They are all by Stratton and in excellent condition.
The ones listed here consist of the following:
One gold-coloured one with engine-turned decoration on the lid - and little incised parallel lines. There is a little lozenge for you to add a monogram if you wish. It has a star pattern on the base - and the word Stratton. There is a mirror in the lid - this is clean without spotting. The original powder puff has been used - but I have included it with the compact - it is easy for you to get a clean new one. You could probably fit a modern cake of pressed powder in it. The clasp fits tight and stays firmly shut. Diameter: 3 inches. I am listing this one at £14 based on its excellent condition.
My next one is a more unusual silver plate one. Again, dating to the 1960s and by Stratton. On the lid - there is an engraved image of a rose in bloom and a rosebud. The background is textured. The base has a pattern of tiny dots all over it and the name Stratton. It has a mirror in the lid - this is nice and clean with no condition issues. This one would take a pressed cake of powder. It is again 3 inches. I am listing this one at a very fair price of £15 - which takes into account its condition and that it is silver plate.
My last one is another gold-tone one. The lid is shiny gold - and the decoration is two raised leaves. It is a more unusual shape - with a pie-crust rim all around. Again, with the all-over star pattern on the base - with the word Stratton. Looks unused - so in fantastic condition. It would take a modern pressed cake of powder. The diameter is again, the standard 3 inches.
