This is another beautiful piece of vintage Okra Glass in my shop.
This one is a tall, slim perfume bottle with a ball stopper - it has etched signatures to the base, Okra paper labels, and an old sticker saying that this pattern is called Moonflower.
It is signed NJO for Nicola Osborne and date 1981 - so a nice early piece of Okra. Its early date and relative rarity are reflected in my asking price here. It is certainly a special piece, probably for the more specialist collector.
Okra Glass was owned and run by Richard Golding. The company produced mainly iridescent glass and has been in continuous production since 1979.
This is an exquisite perfume bottle, and I love the very exotic shape of the bottle and its fabulous long stopper. The glass artist must have been taking inspiration from Tiffany Glass to produce this lovely piece. Bottle and stopper are of course in perfect, damage-free condition.
The perfume bottle has a lovely tall shape with a ball stopper - the interest in this piece is in all the Tiffany lusters.
The height of the bottle including the stopper is 7 1/4 inches (19cm). The diameter at the base is 1 3/4 inches. The overall length of the stopper is 2 1/2 inches. It has a lovely weight to it and is very substantial for its size. Certainly, a thing of beauty and joy forever!
Although a smaller size - the value of this piece is in the skill used in the making - it is a unique piece - and you will not find another like it.
Have taken lots of images - these will give you an idea of all the exquisite details in this top-quality piece of Okra. It certainly looks even better in "real
