These are such lovely vintage pieces of mid-century hand-blown Scottish Art Glass.
They all have the acid-etched signature: Vasart on the bottom of each item, as photographed. They are all handmade pieces and have a polished pontil mark on the base where they were blown.
Here, we have a very pretty serving set for fruits, ice creams, dips, cold starters, or puddings.
The colour is a more muted one with main body of each piece being made of a mottled glass in pale grey-blue tone set in clear and a subtle burnt orange shade (a little paler in tone than suggested in my photographs) around the rims of each item.
There are six bowls and six matching side plates or underplates - all of which date to the 1940s / 1950s.
Being hand-made blown pieces - there is a tiny bit of graduation in the sizes.
The measurements are as follows. Each bowl is 2 1/2 inches in height and with a diameter of 4 3/4 inches. The plates have a diameter of 7 inches.
My glass bowls have no damages or cracks - and no scuffing to the surface.
Works out at just over £25 for a bowl and matching plate! Bargain XX
SADLY, NO INTERNATIONAL POSTAGE ON THIS SET.
Due to weight and relative fragility with them being glass, I would have to send this set in a large sturdy box with Parcelforce48. This would cost £10 for tracked post - and applied at the checkout.
