This is a beautiful large Highland Stoneware cheese dome, measuring some 4 1/2 inches in height.
The diameter of the plate stand is 7 3/4 inches. The diameter of the base of the dome is 6 3/4 inches. The height of the dome section is 3 3/4 inches.
It is a fine piece of sturdy pottery with a hand-painted decoration consisting of purple-blue Iris flowers and leaves. The decoration is just fabulous - and all with very painterly images of Iris flowers with lots of green leaves around the base.
A very fine vintage piece and is now highly collectable. In perfect condition.
My asking price is certainly a fair one for this fine decorative cheese dish.
