This is a lovely delicate little Art Nouveau / early Art Deco delicate teacup and saucer, and a matching side plate. These form a little trio set.
It dates to the early 20th Century (1920s / 1930s) and was made by Paragon has its old "star" mark to the base of each plate. This is for the Star China Company, Atlas Works, Longton, Staffordshire.
This is a very rare pattern and I can't find another example of this design on the trios.
This pattern is very pretty in design and delicates - with lots of gilt areas - which are all in excellent condition with no losses or rubbing to the gold finish. As good as new!
They are very sophisticated cups and perfect as an individual set for a special breakfast or summer tea and cakes out on the garden patio.
I have taken lots of images for your inspection.
All pieces are in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
The cup is 2 1/2 inches in height and with a diameter of 3 inches.
The saucer is just over 5 1/4 inches in diameter - so very pretty cabinet cups or for little delicate cups of tea.
The side plate is just over 6 1/4 inches wide.
The glaze has a warm cream tint to it.
I have a number of these trios - a total of 12. So if you wish more than one, please click the amount arrow box. I will be able to give good postal discounts for multiple purchases. Please enquire.
I also have a milk and sugar bowl available separately and two larger cake plates in this most sought after pattern.
