These little early pieces of Poole pottery are much sought after. This is a little red clay pot decorated with an aqua Portuguese Stripe pattern. This pattern was originally designed by James Radley Young and later modified by Truda CarterThe pattern dates to around 1921 - 1924.

This little pot was made with red clay and covered all over with a thick grey egg-shell glaze - with painted lines on it. It is in excellent condition with no damages, and rather amzing given it is now over 100 years old. There is a little crinkle on the thick glaze on the outside and a wee vacant glaze section just inside the rim - these are not damages - but have occurred in the making.
The age, rarity and the condition of my wee pot is reflected in my asking price for it.
The pot is 2 3/4 inches in height (7 cm). The width at the widest point is 3 1/4 inches (8.5 cm). The rim is just under 3 inches (7.3 cm). The base is 2 1/2 inches (6.4 cm).
