The pattern on these Edinburgh Crystal glasses are certainly quite fantastic.
They are tall with each glass measuring 6 3/4 inches. They are quite stunning - but I cannot find the pattern used - it is very close to the Tiree Pattern - but it the cutting is not an exact match to that pattern.
On offer here is the set of five as photographed. They all have an etched Edinburgh Scotland mark on the foot.
The foot has an deeply engraved star on the base of the foot. The stem of each glass is faceted all around. The bowl of the glass is round goblet shaped. The pattern has a criss-cross decoration to the base which forms elongated diamond shapes filled with a star - which one point longer and pointing upwards. Between each dimond shape are deeply engraved and polisted oval facets. It must be a less common pattern or one only produced for a short period - perhaps because all the decoration was harder and therefore more expensive to produce.
Even with the lack of a pattern name - they remain lovely Edinburgh Crystal stemmed wine glasses. They are marked Edinburgh Crystal on the base.. Each is 6 3/4 inches in height. The diameter of the rim is 2 5/8 inches. The foot has a diameter of 2 5/8 inches.
I am taking the lack of a pattern attribution into account with my pricing - as well as the lovely intricate pattern on the bowl. They are of course all in the most excellent vintage condition without damages and looking like new. I am listing them at a bargain £8 each glass.
