This is one of a matching set of 1930s / 1940s storage jars in my Iconic Edinburgh online shop.
JUST SO THAT THERE IS NO CONFUSION THE PRICE QUOTED HERE IS ONLY FOR ONE CANISTER.
I have six of these available in total - each with lettering for different contents inside.
This one is for CASTOR SUGAR.
The main body colour is a sunshine yellow (much brighter than suggested in my photographs) - the top of each jar and the rim of the lid is painted with overglaze black and orange Deco geometric bands.
The jars are in very good vintage condition. These storage jars are a nice large size
- I haven’t seen any others like them - so I suspect that these are now very difficult to source.
Dimensions: Height is 7 1/4 inches; Diameter at the widest point is 6 inches. Each jar is 1.2 kg in weight.

As a set they look completely glorious on display - and a most unusual find for a Carlton Ware collector.
The rarity and sheer decorative quality of these cannisters is reflected in my asking price.
