This is a very decorative genuine antique desk or table lamp.
It is also a very rare early 20th-century issue.
It is an adjustable cast brass "pump" or student's desk lamp. It was made by The General Electric Company (GEC) in England - and dates to the early 20th century.
It is a genuine old lamp - and it has the GEC mark, as photographed on the cast iron base. We have covered this before sending with a green cloth baize - but have photographed it here for your inspection.
It is in good antique condition - and is nice and clean. It has recently been fully re-wried with earth point for your safety.
The model was classed in GEC sales catalogues as a "Swivel" Lamp.
These lamps are always regarded as top-quality items - and they are so beautifully made - and so functional and attractive.
The shade is not original to the lamp - but dates to the same period - around 1905. The shade is in excellent condition with no damages - and it looks just so pretty on the lamp.
I have taken lots of images for your inspection - this should show in close-up all the details of this lovely lamp.
The lamp will be very carefully packed and sent to you with Parcelforce48. This is a tracked service and it costs about £14. The postage is applied at check out. UK postage only.
The overall height is 24 inches and the diameter of the base is 7 inches.
