This is a fabulous pair of genuine vintage Marimekko curtains.
They are made of cotton - and of a long length - and also very wide - so plenty of room for a nice gather on them.
Each single curtain is 71 inches wide (180 cm) and the drop is 83 inches (220 cm).
This is, of course, a matching pair that is on offer.
There is a thick header tape ready to hang at the top of each curtain, as photographed.
The edges are all carefully and neatly hand-sewn with a red bias binding on the edges at the back to keep nice and tidy and prevent fraying.
I am unable to tell you the maker or the design - as this would have been printed on the selvage edge - but as you can see this has been tucked under the stitched edges.
UPDATE: my friend has just sent me a photograph. He has a pair of these at his house... how funny! The selvage edge is visible on his pair - and they are indeed Marimekko designs - a pattern called Kikki by Petra Suvanto.
My curtains are unlined - but screened onto nice thick cotton material - the pattern is printed on one side and the ink sinks through to the back. They would be better with a plain cream cotton curtain lining on the back.
But are in nice condition - and with no fading or staining to the pattern. No holes or rips. A very unusual and funky abstract pattern. They are listed at a very fair price - given the rarity of the pattern, the condition, and the larger size of them.
Will certainly look fabulous in a mid-century interior to off-set dark teak or rosewood Scandinavian furniture.
