This is a collectable PAIR of antique glass bulb holder or hyacinth vases - on stylistic grounds dating to the early 20th century (probably about 1910, late Edwardian period).
Both vases are in excellent condition with no damages, chips or any internal staining etc.
They have been hand-blown - one is made of a Bristol Blue Glass with a shaped pan cup or bulb holder section. It has a pretty undulating decorative rim. It is a nice tall example. The other one is of a more simple form and again has been hand-blown with an attractive amethyst purple shade of glass.
The blue one is 8 inches in height and has a rim diameter of 3 1/4. The base is 3 1/2 inches. The purple one is 7 3/4 inches in height and has a rim diameter of 2 3/4 inches. The bases is 3 inches in diameter.
The vases flare out to a wider rim at the top with a wide aperture. You could certainly rest a little hyacinth or spring time bulb in here with the root tip section sitting just above the waterline.
There is lots of information online about planting up your bulbs - but think that you need to start thinking about it about late December / January. They will look fabulous as part of a collection of antique hyacinth vases - and with brightly coloured blooms will look amazing in the early spring. They are being listed at a very fair price of £24 each vase.
