This is a very cute little 1940s vintage Children's Toy.
It is an original vintage set and probably made in Germany, but annotated on the back as being: Foreign. This was a common marking on many of these imported toys at this time.
The box is a delight and made of wood with chromo-lithographic printed images on the exterior. The illustration on the lid is very cute and shows a little 1940s brother and sister playing with the game and building a facade of a house. I think that the image on the lid shows a much bigger house than you could possibly create with this wee set. You just get the jist of what the contents are for.
Lots of little images of multi-colored bricks are around the sides.
The lid is held in place inside with a length of cotton tape which I think is original to the box. Lots of little wooden pieces fit inside, as photographed. It might also prove a bit of a puzzle getting them all back in.. so take good note of how they go in!
All the contents are in clean and in exceptional condition. I think that this set may never have been played with and that is still amazing after 80 years.
Dimensions: The triangular size is just under 6 1/2 inches wide and with a height of 3/4 inch.
