This another really fine Scottish glass paperweight which I am currently listing on my Iconic Edinburgh online store. As you can see it is beautifully made and was created by Strathearn Glass.
This Strathearn weight dates to the 1970s and has a polished dark base.
The canes are beautifully placed with nine fine and delicate spiral latticino twists, which radiate like spokes from the central rosette. The lattcino canes are a shorter length and issue from the central concentric ring section: the latticino has fine stripes and a slightly thicker white edge.
The central millefiori cane is pale lilac in colour with a surrounding rosette of baby blue and aqua canes - with more tiny canes inside the sections bounded by the spokes - in pink and white - with an outer edge of mustard-coloured ones.
Again, a very attractive vintage Scottish glass paperweight.
It measures 1 3/4 inches in height with a diameter of about 2 1/2 inches.
The paperweight is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
