This another really fine Scottish glass paperweight which I am currently listing on my Iconic Edinburgh online store. As you can see it is beautifully made and was created by Strathearn Glass.
This Strathearn weight dates to the 1970s and has a pale yellow base.
The canes are beautifully placed with ten fine and delicate spiral latticino twists, which radiate as shorter spokes from the central rosette. The twisted latticino canes are pale purple and white in tone.
The central millefiori cane is a pale lilac tone - and it is surrounded by a rosette of lilac and sugar pink coloured canes. In between the latticino canes there are more millefiori canes - mainly very pale peppermint and pinks
A bonnie weight and with a pretty use of such delicate light pastel colours (much more subtle in tone and much lighter and more muted than suggested in my photographs!).
It measures 1 1/2 inches in height with a diameter of about 2 1/4 inches.
In lovely condition with no scratches or chips.
