This fine mid-century oval bowl is large and looks quite stunning. It is a nice large size and it would so fabulous on the coffee table of a mid-century.
This piece is made of terracotta clay and it is quite thick and sturdy. It has three chunky applied feet on the base - so the shallow bowl stands off your table surface.
It is a rarer abstract and more "pop art" design. It has darker colours with an interplay between matt and glossy glazes. There is a vibrant orange-red elongated streak in the centre. It is signed Chelsea Pottery to the base. It dates to the same time as my other one I have listed - but sadly not with the yin-yang paper label.
It is in perfect condition with no damage. I haven't seen any other ones quit like this - so I suspect it is quite rare. I do have another one of a similar design on sale. The size and rarity are reflected in my asking price.
The length is 15 3/4 inches. The width is 10 inches and the height is about 2 1/4 inches. It is 1.8 kg unpacked.
Due to the size and weight - this plate will have to be posted in the UK with Parcelforce24. This will be applied to your order at the checkout. I will not be able to post outside of the UK.
