The Jasba company was founded in 1926 by Jakob Schwaderlapp in Ransbach-Baumbach (who went on to form Ceremano in 1959). The name is derived from his name and the town where it was located.
My fine Art Pottery vase must date to before 1970 when the company closed and ceased making these beautiful and much sought after vases.
Production of vases ceased in 1975.
This is a very stylish piece of vintage West German art pottery. The top section of the pot is a glossy scarlet red colour - the bottom quarter of the pot is a black colour with a rough almost lava effect texture - the stepped edged and red polka dots are carved out of the main body and are raised out of the black base colour.
It is a nice large pot - measuring some 8 1/4 inches in height - and with a diameter at the widest point of 6 1/4 inches. It is Model umber 157-32.
It weighs 1.3 kg.
Sadly- it will have to be sent to UK addresses only. I will be sending with Parcelforce48.
