This is a fabulous VINTAGE table lamp - it is a large and substantial cast brass Corninthian lamp with a reeded column and plinth base.
It is not an antique example - but a very fine and accurate copy of an earlier issue. The details are exemplary - and are just as good as you might find on an older lamp - and it is heavy with a good weight to it.
The base is a square shape and measures just over 6 inches square. The column on this lamp comes from the stepped base. From the base issues the reeded column which is top with a fantastic Corinthian capital. Above, it a brass bulb holder with a toggle on / off switch. It is also earthed
The base is solid-filled with cast-iron and gives a lot of weight and substance to the lamp - it certainly is not going to topple over - even if you put a large shade on it.
It is sold in working condition and re-wired. It is free from dents, scratches or imperfections. It is certainly nice and clean - the brass is shiny. It would definitely be a showstopper in a more antique Classically themed interior setting. You wont be disappointed with it.
It is a very large example with a height of 22 1/4 inches (57 cm) (including bulb holder). It is 3.7 kg in weight (unpacked).
