This is a collectable antique Staffordshire flatback model.
It takes the form of a Baronial or Gothic Castle and it would function as a decorative and novelty stand for a pocket watch - and the watch would act as a clock in the castle tower.
It dates to around the 1850s.
It good antique condition. No major losses, chips or cracks. The floral bocage additions around the doorway and staircase are fine. There is routine age-related craquelure over the surface - commensurate with age. There is a very fine hairline to the glaze at the top interior of each of the castellated turrets - these do not go through the ceramic body and are just confined to the surface - and of course as stable in nature. All in all a very nice antique example.
Height: 11 1/2 inches. The width is 8 3/4 inches and the depth is 3 inches.
Weight unpacked is 1.2 kg
Due to its large size and weight - would have to be confined to UK postage only. It will have to be sent as Parcelforce48 parcel - to keep it safe in transit - and also to have it fully insured. It will be sent double boxed in a larger outer box.
