These are a particularly good pair of antique Victorian Staffordshire dogs - they take the form of a pair of seated chimney spaniels.
They are genuine Victorian examples, and definitely NOT reproductions.
They are nicely modelled examples and have their original amber-yellow glass eyes, as photographed.
They are a matched pair, as created.
Each dog has a little gold coloured collar with a padlock on it and a gold chain - all the gilding is fresh with little rubbing. I love the speckled patches all over this pair - you do not find this on many Staffordshire dogs.
This lovely pair is very fine in detail and modelling.
They each have a firing airhole on their back.
They are of course without any major damages - no nasty cracks, chips or restoration. There is a very faint hairline crack to the glaze surface of the paw of one dog, as photographed (but apart from that no other issues).
Very attractive and will look fabulous on a country kitchen dresser or on a fireplace in a Victorian parlour.
.These are a very large pair - Height: 11 1/2 inches. Width: 10 inches and Depth: 4 1/4 inches.
Each single dog is 1.6 kg in weight.
Due to weight - probably UK posting only.
