This is beautiful pieces of early 20th Art Nouveau glass that was most probably made by Stuart & Son of Stourbridge, but as you often find are unmarked as such.
These pretty pieces of clear glass were often made with very organic shapes and often had an undulating rim.
This one takes the form of a large bowl with bright clear green glass trails issuing from the center of the base, then traveling up the sides - before terminating on the flared rim.
This large bowl is certainly a most fabulous shape. A nice large piece and looks just fantastic on display. It is in excellent condition and has no damage.
Similar pieces were also made by other Stourbridge glassmakers such as Stevens & Williams, Thomas Webb, etc.
More elaborate pieces often had peacock eye (Cairngorm) inclusion and were popular with Edwardian customers shopping at Liberty in London.
Dimensions: The diameter is 10 1/4 inches. The height is 5 inches and the weight unpacked is 1.4 kg.
These pieces of British Art Nouveau Art Glass are now becoming very collectable - and my price for this large and decorative piece is certainly a fair one.
UK Postage Only. It will have to be sent to you carefully packed in a large "double boxed" parcel due to the size, weight, and fragility of the bowl. It will be sent with Parcelforce tracked in the UK. This will cost about £10 and will be applied to your order at the checkout.
