This is a very large and vintage lidded casserole pot - they are called Dutch Ovens. This one is unmarked with a maker's name - but it is certainly a good quality one.
All the enamel is in good condition with no chips or losses. It has a nice shine to the surface with no scratches or stains. The interior is a cream colour (not stained) and in good clean condition with no disfiguring staining, as can be seen in my photographs.
These Scandinavian-style kitchen enamel pieces are highly sought after and great for cooking foods in the oven - or indeed on the hob.
This one is a glossy black colour - and would look fabulous on a country house aga and indeed a minimalistic stainless steel one. It is a fine example and listed at rather much of a bargain price!
The pot has a deep base and a flat lid which sits on top and sturdy handles of the side of the main pot section. There is an attractive shaped knop on the lid.
This one is a bit of a beast and probably good for cooking large family portions. For a vintage casserole pot of this size - it is listed at a very fair price. The pot measures: Handle to Handle 12 3/4 inches. The dimeter of the pot is 10 1/8 inches and the lid diameter is 10 1/2 inches. The overall height including the knop of 6 1/2 inches.
It is a stonking 5 1/2 kg in weight!
Due to its weight the lidded pot will have to be sent to you in the UK with Parcelforce24. It is really such a substantial pot that it will probably cost about £14.95 to post to you in the UK. This will be applied to your order at the checkout.
