This is a very stylish vintage Danish ice bucket. It was manufactured by Nissen, Denmark in the 1960s, as annotated on the base.
It is made of a light wood and has its original black plastic liner.
It would also look good for storing items inside on top of your Scandi-style bureau in your living room and would look fantastic on your vintage cocktail bar.
This ice bucket comes from my own collection. I purchased it many years ago when I was on a courier trip to Copenhagen when I worked for the National Galleries - I remember the difficulty that I had keeping it in my hand luggage and bringing it home to Scotland.
I had never used it as an ice bucket - so it is in good condition. I used to store little collectables in it, but recently had it all wrapped up and packed away. So have made a sad decision for it to be listed. If I could keep everything I would!
I have taken lots of images for you - it is so tactile with its smooth sides and the four holes in the lid - that you might find in a bowling ball. I have never seen another one like it in the UK - so it is probably quite a rare item.
Dimensions: The height is 6 inches. The diameter is 8 1/2 inches. It is 6 3/4 inches diameter of the liner inside. It is a bit of a weight being made of thick wood and comes in at a stonking 1.9 kg.
UK Postage would be Royal Mail Tracked (Medium Parcel). This will be applied to your order at the checkout.
