This is a gorgeous vintage Scottish paperweight. It is made by Perthshire Paperweights - and has its original paper Perthshire label on the base.
This is a really beautiful example and this is reflected in my asking price - with a grand total of thirteen red, white, and blue twist spokes and all the tiny millefiori canes - it must have taken a very long time and great skill to make.
It is a larger size - it measures about 2 inches in height and with a diameter at the widest point of about 3 inches.
The ground is a pretty sugar pink colour on the ground and a polished pontil.
As mentioned it has a total of thirteen spokes which issues from the central rosette.
The central rosette is very pale yellow and pink. There are canes in each section between the spokes - these are pale yellow, lilac, and peppermint green. Again, as you often find with Perthshire weights, all the coloured canes are very subtle and attractive pastel shades.
As you can see it is a most intricate and exquisite weight - and all the canes and latticino twists are very fine.
It is in fine vintage condition for display - no chips or cracks. A really attractive Scottish paperweight and a top-quality example.
