This is a gorgeous vintage Scottish paperweight.
It is made by Perthshire Paperweights - and has a P cane right in the center of the weight.
This is a really beautiful example and this is reflected in my asking price - with a grand total of fifteen spokes and all the tiny millefiori canes - it must have taken a very long time and great skill to make.
It is a larger size - being about 2 inches in height and with a diameter at the widest point of about 3 inches. Unpacked it is 525 grams in weight.
The ground is a pretty aqua colour with ground and polished "halo" pontil.
As mentioned it has a total of fifteen spokes which issues from the central rosette.
The central rosette is ice white colour - with a tiny central P cane. The latticino twist spokes are red, white and blue in colour. There are two outer rings of canes - the outer one is mustard and lilac and the inner ring is sugar pink and white.
As you can a most intricate and exquisite weight - and all the canes and latticino twists are very fine.
It probably a PP62 and it was made between 1983 and 1997.
It is in fine vintage condition for display - no chips or cracks. Any white flashes on my images are not on the weight - but are caused by reflections in the glass.
A really fine vintage Scottish paperweight and a top-quality example.
