This is a lovely vintage silver brooch made by Shipton & Co, who were based at Spencer Street in Birmingham. They were well known for their Iona style silver brooches and caddy spoons.
The design is similar to those made at this time by Alexander Ritchie, and Shipton & Company were responsible for the casting of many of his designs.
A nice larger size measuring 1 3/8 inches or 3.6 cm in diameter.
Nice catch on the back - both clasp and pin are nice and firm.
