This is an interesting paperweight for your collection.
This one was designed by the celebrated Caithness designer, Colin Terris.
It was made to celebrate Queen Elizabeth II's Golden Jubilee - and comes from a limited edition of only 500 pieces.
The weight takes the form of a crown - which is made up tiny millefiori canes.
It is not just a nice example made to celebrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee - but (with it's prominent "50" placed in the center of a cane towards the base) would also make a good gift for a 50th birthday or Golden Wedding anniversary.
It has been hard to photograph - as the ground is a dark regal purple tone (with swirls of darker blue inside) and this has proved to be a bit on the reflective side.
It is a nice large size - with a diameter of 8.7 cm (3 1/2 inches) and with a height of about 4 cm (1 1/2 inches in height).
Fully inscribed to the base - and it is No. 216 out of the edition of 500.
It is in excellent with no issues of any kind.
With all the emphasis in the number 50 - cant help but price this more unusual weight at £50.
