This is a lovely extra large wall plate designed by the Danish designer Bjorn Wiinblad (1918 - 2006) for Nymolle.
It is one of two of the Winter design that I have on offer in my Iconic Edinburgh online store.
This one was produced by Nymolle - and the other by Rosenthal
This plate is in lovely vintage condition with no damages.
It is a very large size for display measuring some 14 inches.
It is 1.3 kg in weight.
The design is for Winter.
It features the couple in a wintery landscape. They are dressed for the cold and wear little skates on their feet. The once leafy branches of the trees and now bare - and all the little birds watch on.
A typically whimsical vintage 1970s Wiinblad design. His work has recently been the subject of a major retrospective exhibition at the Arken Museum of Modern Art in Copenhagen.
