This is a stunning little matching pair of hand-blown antique Bohemian glass vases.
The glass is a dark green colour with a slight satin lustre to the surface.
Dimensions: Height 5 1/4 inches. Diameter at the widest point is 2 1/4 inches.
Each is decorated around the neck and collar with an attractive gold enamel Art Nouveau design consisting of Jugendstil geometric shapes and stylized mistletoe leaves and tiny white berries. The leaf forms are carefully picked out with white enamel paintwork.
They are not signed and on a stylistic basis - they probably date to around 1905 / 1910. They are totally delightful on display and will look fabulous on show in a period Art Nouveau interior. They look similar to other pieces design by Josef Anton Riedel about this time.
Each vase is in excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks or restorations. There is a tiny bit of rubbing to the gilding on the neck rim of one vase - but nothing disfiguring. It is rarer to find these little miniature art glass vases as a matched pair.
Listed at a fair price - given their age, fine condition and as a hard-to-find pair.
UK posting will be charged at £4.95 for Royal Mail Recorded post - and this will be applied to your order at checkout.
