This is a lovely and highly decorative piece of vintage art glass - which was designed by MIchael Harris for Isle of Wight Glass.
The vase has been hand blown and has a polished pontil. It is unsigned but has the black triangular mark which was used by Isle of Wight 1978 and 1991. It also has a little label detailing the company etc - as photographed.
It is a very attractive example and a nice larger size.
The diameter of the vase is about 5 1/2 inches - and the overall height is about 4 1/4 inches.
It is in excellent condition with no damages.
It has a very pretty decoration with the main colour a nice opaque milky white glass - with threads and swirls through it. There are little decorative patches of peppermint green and grey-lilac (which reminds me a little of strands of mossy seaweed floating in the sea). Little pale yellow coloured speckles and a silvery lustre finish to the outer layer.
It is certainly a most delightful and early example of British Art Glass.
A fair price for one of this date and size. It will be a medium size parcel with Royal Mail to post to you - this will be £6.95 at checkout.
