These are a fabulous mid-century shape - like a large skittle.
Each one is made of opaque glass which is embellished with fine grey stripes as photographed.
We have looked all over - but can't find any reference to a maker on them - but stylistically they look very Scandinavian in origin. They are vintage shades and not modern ones.
It is easy to pop your bulb inside - and there is a metal fitment that can be lowered to ease you popping in the light bulb. Each shade has been recently re-wired and both are in excellent vintage condition with no chips or cracks. It would take a modern UK bayonet bulb.
They will look fabulous in a rather stylish or space-age mid-century interior - and would certainly look fabulous with one hanging low above a Scandi-modern dining table.
Each shade measures some 14 inches in length and has a diameter of 7 inches at the widest point. Each is 850 grams unpacked.
