This is a sweet little pattern - it dates from 1961 and was designed by John Russell for Midwinter.
The red rose on the plates is certainly very pretty - and would make a quirky alternative Valentine's gift - and of course last longer than a real bouquet!
On offer here is a little trio - consisting of a cup, saucer and side plate.
Each piece is in lovely condition with no damages.
The matt black Midwinter cups are often very sought after to complete other sets such as Nature Study or Tonga patterns - and this one has an impressed Midwinter mark to the base.
Dimensions: Cup height is 2 3/4 inches and diameter at the top is 3 1/2 inches - with matt black cup is impressed Midwinter mark to the base.
The saucer is just over 5 1/2 inches in diameter. The little side plate is just over 6 inches in diameter.
I also have a selection of side plates in the Carmen pattern listed in my Iconic Edinburgh Online store
